Works by Paul Horiuchi
Horiuchi was born in Japan and moved to the United States in 1946. He eventually moved from working on the railroads to a full time collagist and painter. His exhibits became popular in the Pacific Northwest and he gained a following in Seattle in the 1950’s. His works were in the Seattle Art Museum and in 1974, the Smithsonian Institution’s Art of the Pacific Northwest. Horiachi Park which is now a community gardens can be found in Seattle today.
