Abell Auction will host a fine art, jewelry and antique auction, October 15th in Los Angeles

Pair of major collections will headline Abell Auction’s next big sale, Oct. 15th

Abell Auction Company’s fine art, antiques and jewelry auction on Sunday, October 15th, online and in the firm’s Los Angeles gallery, will feature two major collections. The first is the estate of Bea Hyp, owner of Summerhill Antiques in Santa Barbara. Bea’s passion for art and antiques made her shop a premier destination for antique dealers, designers and collectors from around the world. The second is the Bel Air estate of Paul and Carole Cramer. Carole was once a singer with Tommy Dorsey’s big band. The Cramers’ estate showcases 19th century drawings by renowned artists, English sterling hollowware, and French furniture and furnishings.

But the auction catalog doesn’t stop there. Also sold will be a Tiffany Studios Daffodil table lamp; a collection of Chinese furniture and appointments; lithographs by name artists such as Stella, Warhol, Picasso, Hockney, Wesselmann, Albers, Tamayo, E. Kelly and Jasper Johns; fine jewelry, including a Cartier tennis bracelet, earrings and watches; and more. The Picasso lithograph figures to be one of the top lots of the sale, with an estimate of $35,000-$40,000. Titled Tete de Jeune Fille (Head of Young Girl), the 1949 litho is signed and numbered (18 of 50). Abell Auction Company is located at 2613 Yates Avenue in Los Angeles. Visit www.abell.com.
