Selma Cisic, an architect and designer, founded Adesso Imports in 2005 in Los Angeles after residing in Argentina, Brazil, and Egypt. Adesso swiftly gained renown as one of the foremost galleries in the US, specializing in Brazilian mid-century furniture.

During her time in Brazil, Cisic had the privilege of engaging with prominent Brazilian designers like Sergio Rodrigues, Percival Later, Jorge Zalszupin, and Oscar Niemeyer.
